The view at the end of our trail paid off! When we visited Yosemite National Park, we hiked the Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall Trail. It took us past 2 beautiful waterfalls during the course of 6 hours or so. When we reached the top of the Nevada Fall, we had to hike all the way down again.

As we didn't want to backtrack the whole trail on the John Muir trail, we decided to make a small loop and take the Mist Trail down instead. This took us as past a small clearing where we had a great view of the granite Liberty Cap and the Nevada Fall. This was where the picture was taken, and I couldn't be happier that we decided to go back through the Mist Trail instead of the John Muir trail!
